A Lancaster Loop game

Sieggy Takes a Loop

Free to play. Hard to beat.

Sieggy is on a mission to find every great thing to do in Lancaster County. Help him off the couch, past the algorithm and around the county to Paradise.

Space or ↑ or tap to jump. Hold for a higher jump. ↓ or swipe down to duck. P pauses. M mutes. It speeds up the longer you last. Your best on this device: 0
High-score contest Top score wins a $100 gift card to Cabalar Meat Co. + $100 to the animal nonprofit of their choice · Ends Monday, Nov 9 at 6:00 pm ET · Presented by Growth-ish™

★ PARADISE ★

The loop starts in Lancaster City and winds through all 102 boroughs, townships and villages of Lancaster County, from Columbia to Blue Ball to Bird-in-Hand. The goal is Paradise. Fair warning: things pick up in the Southern End, and the Home Stretch is a real test. Make it to Paradise and the loop starts over, a little faster every lap, so your score keeps climbing as long as you last. Watch the town ticker under the road to see how far Sieggy gets.

Level 1

Know Your Enemy

Three things keep you on the couch. Seven more are waiting out in the county.

At home

The Couch

Threat ■■■■■

How it attacks. "Just one more episode." It's 9:40 on a Saturday and you're still in sweatpants.

How the hero wins. Jump it. The Loop lands Tuesday with your weekend already planned.

At home

The Smartphone (aka the Algorithm)

Threat ■■■■■

How it attacks. Forty minutes gone. You know about three celebrity breakups and zero events in Lititz. It buried your favorite brewery's post under a mattress ad.

How the hero wins. Jump it. One email with every good thing in the county. The Loop doesn't run on an algorithm. It runs on Ed.

At home

The FOMO Cloud

Threat ■■■■□

How it attacks. Monday morning. Everyone's photos from the thing you didn't know about. It rolls in low and it's way too big to jump.

How the hero wins. Duck. Get low, let it pass over you, and next time, you were there.

Out in the county

Road Apples

Threat ■■□□□

How it attacks. Left behind on every back road in the county. The fresh ones are the worst.

How the hero wins. Hop it. A quick little jump clears it.

Out in the county

Potholes

Threat ■■■□□

How it attacks. Every spring they open up on Route 30 and swallow hubcaps. This one swallows dogs.

How the hero wins. Jump it. Ducking just drops you in.

Out in the county

Squirrels

Threat ■■□□□

How it attacks. SQUIRREL! The original distraction, parked right in Sieggy's path.

How the hero wins. Hop it and keep your eyes on the road. Paradise is that way.

Out in the county

Cows

Threat ■■■□□

How it attacks. Slipped through the fence and planted itself on the back road. It is in no hurry.

How the hero wins. Jump it with room to spare. Don't stop to moo.

Out in the county

Horse and Buggy

Threat ■■■■□

How it attacks. Big, steady and the full width of the lane. Sooner or later you'll be behind one on Route 340.

How the hero wins. Hold jump for extra air and clear the whole rig. Then give a friendly wave.

Out in the county

The Trash Truck

Threat ■■■■■

How it attacks. Sieggy's real-life nemesis. It rumbles in head-on, faster than anything else on the road. (School buses are a close second.)

How the hero wins. Hold jump for big air and sail over it. Don't look back.

Out in the county

Turkey Vultures

Threat ■■■■□

How it attacks. One glides low over the fields or way up high. Then a whole kettle shows up, three stacked and circling at head height.

How the hero wins. Jump the low ones. Run under the high ones. When three come stacked, duck.

Level 2

His story

  1. Left by the road

Dumped by his owner. A passerby saw it, stepped in, and got him to Charlie's Crusaders.

  2. Fostered in Lancaster

A local foster family took him in while he waited for a home.

  3. Found online

We spotted "Dexter" on his listing, then met him at his foster's house. 14 pounds, six months old, already knew sit and down.

  4. Named Siegfried Farnon

After the big-hearted vet in All Creatures Great and Small, our family's favorite show.

The Great Breed Mystery

Dachshund? Chihuahua? Corgi? A little something else? Nobody knows, and we're happy to keep it that way. The most important part of Sieggy isn't his breed. It's the love he brings to our family, and to every neighbor he meets.

Adopt a pet. They're the best breed. Meet the pups at Charlie's Crusaders

Level 3

Equip the Hero

Sieggy only needs one piece of gear. So do you.
